“I feel more and more the time wasted that is not spent in Ireland.”
Our home has recently been rebuilt by local builders to high standards to provide an environmentally friendly building with air to water heating, high levels of insulation and a mechanical venting system. Together with the processing of our own waste water on site and other features, this helps to reduce our impact on the environment. We have also sourced our furnishings locally or recycled as far as possible.
All our accommodation has been thoughtfully designed and fitted out. We have a maximum capacity for eight guests. Availability is shown in the calendar below.
We have four double en-suite bedrooms. Our Garden bedroom is accessible for those with mobility issues as it is on the ground floor, has a wet room and can be accessed by a ramp from its own parking space. In all bedrooms the beds can be configured either as one superking sized bed, or two twin beds. We will check with you how you would like the beds set up before your arrival. In each room, you will find essentials such as the wifi code, hairdryers and toiletries as well as some bedside reading either on the history or culture of Sligo and Donegal Bay, or by local poets or authors.
As well as your bedroom, you can also relax in our two communal guest areas.
Our dedicated breakfast room on the ground floor has a communal dining table so that you can get to know your fellow guests over breakfast and share tips on what you have discovered and activities you have enjoyed. You can also make yourself hot drinks at the coffee dock throughout the day and enjoy them on one of the sofas in front of a woodburning stove.
The sitting room on the upper floor provides a quiet space where you can sit, read, take in the magnificent views or watch DVDs.
If you’re feeling more active, we also have space for you to enjoy in the boathouse, See our what to do pages for more details.
