Welcome to our website, and we hope to welcome you soon to our home in north Sligo on the Wild Atlantic Way https://www.wildatlanticway.com/ looking over Donegal Bay with easy access to Sligo, Leitrim and South West Donegal, and is only an hour’s drive from Knock Airport.
Update: June 2020
We’re pleased to say that as Ireland reopens, we too are making our preparations for re-opening later this summer. Having carefully studied the guidance, we’ve decided that in the current Covid-19 climate we can no longer offer bed and breakfast or accommodation for retreats. We are however, carrying out some minor alterations so that we will have two self-contained apartments. One apartment is on the ground floor of the main house and has two bedrooms with en-suite and an open plan living and dining room with kitchen. The second apartment is in the boathouse and has one bedroom, a luxurious bathroom and an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with study area. See the accommodation page https://www.milkharbourholidays.ie/visit-us/secluded-self-catering-accommodation-by-the-sea for more details. Our wonderful builders McHugh Gallagher and kitchen fitter Dermott Feeney are working away to make the necessary alterations. We’re not sure yet when we will be open for bookings, so watch this space.
We’re very excited about this development, as it will offer you the opportunity to holiday in a secluded and beautiful part of Sligo, not far from Streedagh Beach (of Armada wrecks and Normal People fame)! As well as being in easy reach of many other wonderful beaches and mountains. And if you’re fed up of queuing in supermarkets or cooking, we’re teaming up with Anne Roberts of Crean Cottage Bakery, who will be able to offer you a cooked meal waiting for you in your oven on arrival and a stocked fridge and cupboards with locally produced vegetables, meat, baking and whatever else you need to get your holiday off to a relaxed start. We can also put you in touch with a wine merchant who will deliver directly here. See the Food and drink pages for more details.
Follow us on our facebook page http://fb.me/milkharbourholidays.ie for updates on what we’re up to and our progress towards re-opening , We look forward to welcoming you to our home in the not too distant future, but in the meantime, we wish you and yours all the very best. Stay safe and well.
